Britney Spears Tops Billboard Charts with 'Blackout'

Britney Spears will claim the number one position on the Billboard Top 200 Album charts with her recent release called, Blackout. 124,000 copies were sold in its first week out. Blackout doubles Carrie Underwood's sales. Underwood's newest disc called, Carnival Ride, debuts in at number two.

This will be Britney Spears' fifth number one album. Spears has sold over 83 million albums worldwide. The RIAA ranks her as the eighth best-selling female artist in American music history, having sold 31 million albums in the U.S. thus far.
