Super Furry Animals’ Singer Working on Solo Record

Published: 2007-10-29
Gruff Rhys, lead singer of Welsh rock band Super Furry Animals, is getting ready to release his third solo album, entitled Stainless Style.

Though it has yet to have a specific release date (though it is tentatively scheduled for February), the record is being produced by Boom Bip and there are a number of famous collaborators that Rhys has been working with. For instance, Fab Moretti of The Strokes, The Magic Numbers and Yo Majesty has all contributed to Stainless Style so far.

The first single from the disc is slated for release on November 26th, and will be called "Raquel". Rhys' last solo record was out earlier this year and called Candylion. His most recent album with the Super Furry Animals came out this past August, and was called Hey Venus!
