Published: 2007-10-19
Irish rock band U2 are marking the 20th anniversary of their fifth studio album, The Joshua Tree, by re-releasing it next month with a slew of new features.

The Joshua Tree, often considered the group's greatest achievement, came out in March of 1987 to great success. On November 20th, a special edition version of the record will be available for purchase in several different formats: 1) single digitally remastered disc 2) two-disc set in a special hard case 3) collector's edition 2-CD/DVD box set with portfolio prints and, 4) double vinyl package.

There are also supposed to be U2 rarities, unreleased demos and b-sides, as well as a live footage from a 1987 show at the Hippodrome in Paris and the Outside It's America documentary.

The last full-length U2 disc came out three years ago and was 2004's How to Dismantle an Atom Bomb.
