Counting Crows Release New Album in November

Published: 2007-09-18
American formation the Counting Crows are coming out with their fifth studio album on November 6th.

The tentative title for the upcoming record by the alternative rockers is Saturday Nights, Sunday Mornings, which will be their first disc in half a decade. Their last effort, 2002's Hard Candy, spawned a major hit for the group with their cover of Joni Mitchell's "Big Yellow Taxi", which featured Vanessa Carlton on vocals.

Saturday Nights, Sunday Mornings, will be a double-album with the 14 tracks split over two discs, with Saturday Nights representing songs on the first CD and Sunday Mornings representing those on the second.

Lead singer Adam Duritz announced a recent American show date that "Cowboys" would be the lead off track on Disc 1, while "Washington Square" would be the first on Disc 2. Gil Norton and Brian Deck are the two producers lending the Counting Crows a hand on this new album. A full track listing has yet to be confirmed.
