R.E.M. Release First Live Album

Alternative rock formation R.E.M. are coming out with their very first live album on October 18th, to be called, R.E.M. Live.

This 2-CD and DVD set was recorded in Dublin on February 27, 2005 at The Point Venue and will not only contain all of the American band's greatest hits but also some rare tracks. The song, "I'm Gonna DJ", which has been previously unreleased, will be found both on R.E.M. Live as well as R.E.M.'s next new album, out sometime in 2008.

R.E.M.'s last new record was 2004's Around the Sun.
