Beastie Boys Play Rare Hometown Show

Published: 2007-08-14
New York natives the Beastie Boys played their hometown of Brooklyn last Thursday for the first time since the start of their career.

The hip hop trio have been making music together for more than 20 years and made a stop in their home borough as part of their current US tour.

The set included all of their successful hits, including, "What'cha Want" and "Ch-Check It Out", but the tunes that got the most response were the hometown-inspired ones, such as "Hello Brooklyn" and "No Sleep Till Brooklyn".

The Beastie Boys' most recent album is The Mix-Up, which came out on June 26th. It is their seventh record featuring 12 new all-instrumental tracks.
