The Hives Record New Album

Published: 2007-08-09
Swedish rock band The Hives are working on their fourth full-length studio EP, currently titled The Black and White Album.

The disc is being recorded right now in Oxford, Mississippi and produced by Dennis Herring, although recording sessions have taken place in various parts of the world, including Miami, London and the garage rock group's home country of Sweden. In Miami, The Hives worked with Pharrell Williams, in London with Jacknife Lee and in Sweden Tomas Oberg of musical act Bob Hund.

The Black and White Album will follow the quintet's most recent record, which was Tyrannosaurus Hives from 2004. The Hives will also be opening for Maroon 5 during their North American tour which starts at the end of September.
