David Usher Planning Acoustic Record

Published: 2007-08-03
Canadian singer-songwriter David Usher has begun recording some acoustic sessions in the hopes of eventually putting out his first record of purely acoustic material sometime in the near future.

Although everything is still in its beginning stages, on his blog, Usher states that he is considering doing stripped down versions of some of his favourite songs, such as "Black Black Heart" and "The Music", but is also considering redoing and including cover songs, if they turn out the way he wants them to. The acoustic disc is meant to be a bridge between his current one and the next.

He has asked fans to provide him with feedback for songs of his own as well as covers that they would like to hear acoustically and has even posted an audio clip of song-in-process, "Only You", originally by British electronica act Yaz. All this can be found at his official blog: http://www.davidusher.com/blog as well as on his MySpace page: http://www.myspace.com/davidushermusic.
