All Aboard For Diana Krall

Published: 2004-04-15
Internationally known jazz singer Diana Krall is out to show the world – and her fellow Canadians – that she hasn't forgotten the people. On April 28 Krall and her quartet will grace the Great Hall in Toronto's Union Station at 2pm. Krall is scheduled to perform four songs with the quartet. The gathering will be hosted by Jann Arden and is free and open to the public. Arden will also host a question and answer session after Krall sings.

Krall is using the gig to help promote her new album "The Girl in the Other Room" which goes on sale April 27. Unlike many of Krall's albums "The Girl in the Other Room" is not a collection of jazz standards. Krall and rocker husband Elvis Costello wrote half of the songs on the new record. There is no word as to whether Costello will join his wife for the Union Station stop.
