Nina Persson to Release Second Solo Record

Published: 2007-08-01
Nina Persson, vocalist for Swedish rock band, The Cardigans, is hard at work on her sophomore solo album, which will be released under the moniker A Camp, like her self-titled debut in 2001.

While there is neither definitive title nor release date set yet, NME.com reports that Persson has admitted to be highly influenced by Adam and the Ants and that it will have less of a country twang than her previous disc.

The record is being produced by Niklas Frisk and her husband, Nathan Larson. Persson recently appeared on the Manic Street Preachers' Send Away the Tigers on the song "Your Love Alone is Not Enough".

The Cardigans are probably most known for their 1996 hit single, "Lovefool", from their third studio record, First Band on the Moon, as well as the soundtrack to the motion picture, William Shakespeare's Romeo + Juliet.
