The Rolling Stones Donate in Memory of Warsaw Bus Crash Victims

Published: 2007-07-31
The bus crash that killed 26 Warsaw locals spoke to the compassion of English band the Rolling Stones, who donated some of the proceeds of their show in the Polish city on July 25th in their remembrance.

On the 22nd of July, a bus carrying 50 people back from a Catholic shrine in the French Alps to Warsaw collided, resulting in the death of more than half the passengers, leaving the rest of them injured.

The band as well as their concert promoters also donated a portion of the proceeds from other shows to the families of the victims, and singer Mick Jagger asked the audience for a moment of silence during their performance.
