Joni Mitchell to Release First Album of New Material in Almost a Decade

Published: 2007-07-26
Canadian singer-songstress Joni Mitchell has agreed to allow Hear Music, the record label owned by coffee company Starbucks, once again to release her new record, entitled Shine.

Shine will come out in North America on September 25th and will be her first of brand new music in almost a decade. In 1998, Mitchell came out with what was thought would be her last of fresh material, her sixteenth full-length called Taming the Tiger.

Mitchell's last two albums, Starbucks Artist's Choice and Selected Songs, were compilations, though they were also released via Hear Music.

Shine is one of the two of the 2-record deals Mitchell has signed with the Starbucks label and will feature brand new tracks.

The track listing is:

"One Week Last Summer"
"This Place"
"If I Had a Heart"
"Hana"
"Bad Dreams are Good"
"Big Yellow Taxi"
"Night of the Iguana"
"Strong and Wrong"
"Shine"
"If"
