The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Album to be Performed by Cheap Trick

Published: 2007-07-23
Forty years after the release of the legendary Beatles' record Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band, American rock troupe Cheap Trick will be performing the songs from the disc in its entirety on stage in Los Angeles.

Cheap Trick will be joined by the likes of Aimee Mann and Joan Osborne and backed by the Hollywood Bowl Orchestra on the 10th and 11th of August to play the album from beginning to end, along with a few other classic Beatles' tracks, including "Norwegian Wood" and "Magical Mystery Tour".

The Beatles' Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band was released in June of 1967 and features "With a Little Help from My Friends", "Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds" and "When I'm Sixty-Four". It was the British rock and rollers' eighth record.

Cheap Trick rose to fame in the 1970's, especially with their hit, "I Want You to Want Me", but recently released an album in 2006 called Rockford, that was acclaimed by fans and critics alike.
