Canadian singer-songwriters Tegan and Sara will be touring around the globe in support of the release of their fifth in-studio album, The Con, out July 24th.
Tegan and Sara got quite a bit of help this time around from members of American indie rock group Death Cab for Cutie, with Chris Walla producing the disc and Jason McKerr guest starring on drums. The record also features collaborations from The Rentals' Matt Sharp, AFI's Hunter Burgan and Kaki King.
The 14-track record is more mature-sounding than the previous records of the duo, now both 26 years old and will be released via their label, Vapor Records.
The Con is the follow up to the identical twins' last album, So Jealous, which came out three years ago in September 2004. The first single is called "Back in Your Head". The two have already begun touring in support of the new release, with scheduled dates all over the world. The Canadian leg starts in September until mid-October.
