Foo Fighters Reveal New Album Details

Published: 2007-07-10
Alternative rock formation the Foo Fighters have revealed more tentative details about their forthcoming new album, such as possible title, Echoes, Silence, Patience and Grace as well as a release date of September 25th, 2007.

The Foo Fighters have been at work in the studio since March of this year with British record producer Gil Norton, who also helmed the American group's highly successful The Colour and the Shape, which came out in 1997.

The new record also includes help from guitarist Kaki King on the song, "The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners", which is a tribute to two real-life Tasmanian miners who asked for Foo Fighters' music when they were trapped underground for two weeks.

A tour in support of the record for both North America and the U.K. is slated to begin in September and go on until the end of the year. During the summer months prior to the tour, the Foo Fighters have been and will be doing periodic festival dates, including this past weekend's Live Earth concert in London, England.

So far has listed the track listing as:

"The Pretender"
"Let It Die"
"Erase Replace"
"Long Road to Ruin"
"Come Alive"
"Stranger Things Have Happened"
"Cheer Up Boys, Your Makeup Is Running"
"Summer's End"
"The Ballad of the Beaconsfield Miners"
"But Honestly"
