Several New Elvis Presley Releases Including Gospel CD Expected

Published: 2004-04-14
BMG music has created an Elvis group that concentrates solely on the Elvis Presley franchise. The Elvis group has a number of releases in the works. The first of these projects is a collection of gospel tunes. The 24 track compilation "Elvis Ultimate Gospel" was released on March 23. While Presley is known as the King of Rock'n'Roll, the star sold more than 250 million gospel recordings.

Beginning this month a track from the album will be featured in 900 movie theatres as a part of a deal with Cinema Sound.

A more pop friendly version of the king will be out in June. "The '68 Comeback" will be released on June 22. The deluxe edition DVD contains three discs consisting of seven hours of material. The set features the original unedited TV special including all the outtakes from the skits and showcases never before seen performances.

Elvies' "Aloha Hawaii" will also be released on June 22. The double disc DVD will contain three to four hours of previously unreleased material.

In the future Elvis fans can look for a compilation of all of Presley's recordings from Sun Records called "Elvis at Sun".
