U2 Release 'Live from Mexico City' on DVD

Irish rock band U2 is celebrating the 10th anniversary of their PopMart tour with the DVD release of their performance in Mexico City from 1997.

The show was previously released on VHS in 1998 and is now being made available on digital video format for the first time later this year. "Live From Mexico City" was shot on December 3rd, 1997 at the Foro Sol Autodromo, with a stage dÈcor that featured a 100 foot tall cocktail stick with an olive and a large mirrorball lemon as well as art pieces by famous artists.

The DVD is comprised of two discs, the first filled with 25 live U2 performances, including "Hold Me, Thrill Me, Kiss Me, Kill Me", "Where the Streets Have No Name" and "Discotheque", and the second, a limited edition with bonus live tracks, bonus video tracks and short documentaries.

No official release date has yet been confirmed.
