The 2007 Shortlist Music Prize has been given to American indie singer-songwriter Cat Power for her 2006 album, The Greatest.

The Shortlist Music Prize is awarded to the best American album recorded in the last year as voted on by a select group of music industry personnel, such as fellow musicians, producers and critics collectively known as the "Listmakers". The other nine nominees for the prize along with Power's The Greatest, included Tom Waits' Orphans: Brawlers, Bawlers and Bastards and Regina Spektor's Begin to Hope.

This year's voting committee was comprised of members of The Killers, Franz Ferdinand, Panic! At the Disco, and Snow Patrol to name a few.

The Greatest is Power's seventh solo studio disc and was released last year by Matador Records. It gave the singer her highest charting on the Billboard 200 at #34.
