Foo Fighters Re-Release ëThe Colour and the Shapeí for 10th Anniversary

Published: 2007-06-04
Next month, the Foo Fighters' highly successful album, The Colour and the Shape, is being released as a special 10th anniversary edition with six previously unreleased songs.

With new liner notes, a few B-sides and some covers, the new version of The Colour and the Shape will have all 13 songs that were originally released on May 20, 1997 when it hits North American stores this July 10th. The 1997 version was the American quartet's best-selling U.S. record with over 2 million copies sold.

While it's technically the alternative rockers' second record under the name Foo Fighters, The Colour and the Shape is actually the first record to feature all members as a band because lead singer and writer Dave Grohl recorded all vocals and instrumentation on the 1995 self-titled debut by himself (with the exception of one guitar part on the track, "X-Static").

The extra songs will be:

"The Colour and the Shape" (B-Side)
"Dear Lover" (B-Side)
"Drive Me Wild" (B-Side)
"Down in the Street" (Gary Numan Cover)
"Requiem" (Killing Joke Cover)
"Baker Street" (Gerry Rafferty Cover)

The Foo Fighters are currently working on their sixth as-yet untitled album, which would be the follow-up to 2005's In Your Honor.
