Hard-Fi Recording Second LP

Published: 2007-05-29
British foursome Hard-Fi has been writing and recording their sophomore record just outside their hometown of Staines, Middlesex in England and already have a tentative title: Once Upon a Time in the West.

The follow-up to their 2005 debut, Stars of CCTV, is set for worldwide release on September 7th, although in the U.K., it will see the light of day on July 3rd. It is being produced by Wolsey White and Richard Archer and includes influences by bands like the Ramones.

Singer Richard Archer revealed to NME.com that the legendary American punk band the Ramones in particular inspired the track, "Can't Get Along", which is a bit of a departure from the group's regular indie rock sound with a vibe closer to 60's soul music.

Other songs announced to be on the disc's track listing include "We Need Love" and "I Shall Overcome".
