Garbage Resurfaces With New Single

Published: 2007-05-28
Shirley Manson and company have returned...well sort of. Their new single, "Tell Me Where It Hurts" will be arriving soon, but don't expect it to appear on a new album. Garbage are reuniting, but for a best-of compilation disc entitled, Absolute Garbage.

The CD will be packaged along with a DVD that Garbage fans will be sure to appreciate. The DVD will include 15 of Garbage's music videos, live clips, and of course behind-the-scenes footage. There will also be a remix collection included in the set, which boasts production from UNKLE, Massive Attack, and Crystal Method among others.

Garbage has not recorded any new material since 2005's Bleed Like Me. Lead singer Shirley Manson declared that the band is on indefinite hiatus and that she is indeed penning new songs for her first ever solo disc.
Absolute Garbage is due out July 17 on Geffen Records.
