Clap Your Hands Say Yeah in 'Great Buck' Flick

Published: 2007-05-23
American indie group Clap Your Hands Say Yeah are following in the footsteps of many bands before them and will try their hands at acting come this fall.

Not only will the quintet be writing and recording a brand new set of songs for the movie, called "The Great Buck Howard", but they will also have cameos in the American film.

Currently in post-production, the film was directed by Sean McGinly and stars Hollywood actors Tom Hanks, his son Colin Hanks, John Malkovich, George Takei and Emily Blunt.

Clap Your Hands Say Yeah have released two albums: their first self-titled disc (2005) received much critical acclaim, especially through online media, which enabled the group to achieve much of their initial success, and their second album, Some Loud Thunder, which came out this past January, which did not receive as much praise as their debut.
