Portishead To Play First Show in a Decade

Published: 2007-05-23
According to their official website, trip hop group Portishead will be playing their first live concert in almost a decade in Minehead, England at the end of this year.

The British music makers haven't had an official show since 1998, when they were supporting their self-titled sophomore release, which is also their last album to date. This December, Portishead will be one of the bands participating in "Nightmare Before Christmas", a musical event organized by the British concert production company All Tomorrow's Parties.

Portishead will not only be playing a live set filled with new material from the forth-coming album they've been working on in the last few years but they will also be hosting the event, which will take place at Butlins Holiday Camp between the 7th and 9th of December.

The group members themselves will be choosing which bands they'll be performing with and the full line-up, along with ticket information will be announced on the following websites once they are determined: http://www.portishead.co.uk/news.html and
