Christina Aguilera World Tour Will Include Shanghai

American pop entertainer Christina Aguilera will stop in Shanghai, China during her world tour this year, despite the fact that the city is normally very conservative when it comes to particularly racy musical acts.

Aguilera will perform at the Grand Stage on June 26th in support of her latest effort, Back to Basics, which has been in stores since August of 2006 with almost $4 million in sales worldwide. Her first single from the album, "Ain't No Other Man", won Aguilera a Grammy for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance, the singer's fourth Grammy win.

In the past, Shanghai officials asked artists like the Rolling Stones to refrain from performing their more sexually overt tunes and rapper Jay-Z had his set cancelled completely because of his lyrical content. But Aguilera's recent makeover for her third album, which presents the young woman as classier and more old-fashioned in comparison to her image associated with her previous record, Stripped, may have helped to convince the Chinese to allow for the tour stop.

Tickets for the Shanghai concert will range from $26-260.
