Lupe Fiasco Preps 'Cool' Follow Up Album

Published: 2007-05-03
An artist that can transcend genres by bouncing from rap to indie rock is an artist worth checking out. Lupe Fiasco has had no problems gaining acclaim within both realms of music.

Fiasco is getting ready to release another album, the follow-up to 2006's Food & Liquor. The rapper hopes to have the album in stores by October 31 and it will hold the title The Cool.

Although he has his own career to worry about that doesn't stop him from helping to further others. He may be working on The Cool but he also lended himself to helping Japanese rapper Big O on a track titled "City Wings", you'll also hear him on the remix of Musiq's Buddy and on the debut of Kevin Michaels' disc.

All of that and more is a day of work for Fiasco. And he also keeps one project to himself, the "Top Secret" project. Which has been said to be with, "another superstar rapper and someone who is a rapper/producer."
