The Analogue Sounds Of Madrid

Published: 2004-04-08
The Toronto based duo of Adam Perry and Duncan Christie – Madrid perform their electronic music on older analogue type equipment. The sounds produced by the earlier synthesizers cannot be duplicated on the newer digital machines.

Electronic music is still fairly new to the list of musical styles; as a result, there is a vastness as wide as space in unwritten and undiscovered material. Madrid want to help chart this as yet undiscovered territory. Fans of Jean-Michel Jarre would find a favourable comparison to the Niagara Falls natives. Madrid's current release is "Warm Waters" and was released by Aporia Records (www.aporia-records.com) last September.
