The Raconteurs Working on New Album

Published: 2007-04-26
The White Stripes' frontman Jack White refuses to stop moving around. Having recently confirmed the release date for Icky Thump, his forthcoming album with White Stripes bandmate Meg White, White has wasted no time getting to work on new material with his side project The Raconteurs.

According to White, the band has 12 songs written after a week-and-a-half recording session at Blackbird Studio in Nashville, TN. They are a bit strapped for time and are trying to get as much work done on the new album as possible before White begins touring with The White Stripes.

White is excited about the new material he's been working on with his side project and has noted that this follow-up to The Raconteurs' 2006 release Broken Boy Soldiers will sound "very different."
