Gorillaz End Their Pop Career, Start Film Career?

Published: 2007-04-23
Blur singer and Gorillaz member Damon Albarn has spoken, there will be no more Gorillaz albums.

The animated band is well known for their appearance in cartoon form while Albarn is the sole member pulling the strings. The last project for the band is a movie which will thankfully feature a score provided by them. The film has been cross referenced with Terry Gilliam the talent behind Monty Python.

Albarn spoke to BBC Radio 2, about the end of the band, "We're trying to make a film next, starting in September hopefully. It will be a film score. There won't be another pop record." After only two albums, 2001's self titled debut and 2005's Demon Days, the bands wraps it up.
