Arctic Monkeys Release New Album

Published: 2007-03-21
The boys of Arctic Monkeys have wasted no time in releasing their sophomore effort. Only 15 months after their critically acclaimed album, Whatever People Say I Am, That's What I'm Not and the boys have a new title to drop, Favorite Worst Nightmare.

The whole plan was to release the new album the same week as their last album, only a year later. Lead singer Alex Turner explains their game, "The only pressure was what we put on ourselves because we wanted to do it quick and try and get it out at the same time as the last one came out. That was the plan. Ultimately, we thought if we carried that on for a few years it might become a national holiday. We missed it by two months."

Favorite Worst Nightmare is available April 23.
