Jeff Buckley gets 'So Real'

Published: 2007-03-20
A brand new compilation CD is going to be released this spring to commemorate the death of singer songwriter Jeff Buckley.

One of the most promising young singer songwriters of his generation Buckley only managed to release one album, 1994's Grace before drowning during an evening swim in 1997. In 1998 Sketches for My Sweetheart the Drunk was released. The album was filled with the songs Buckley was working on for his second album prior to his death plus a few demos of unfinished material.

In spite of his short career his work has been praised by musical heavyweights like Jimmy Page, Bob Dylan, David Bowie, U2 and Paul McCartney.

On May 28, ten years after Buckley's untimely death the compilation CD So Real: Songs From Jeff Buckley will hit stores. Here's what will be on it:

'Last Goodbye'
'Lover You Should Have Come Over'
'Forget Her'
'Eternal Life'
'Dream Brother' (alternative take)
'The Sky Is A Landfill'
'Everybody Here Wants You'
'So Real' (acoustic live performance)
'Mojo Pin' (live)
'Je N'en Connais Pas La Fin'
'I Know It's Over'
