Dirty Pretty Things Tackle Their Second Try

Published: 2007-03-02
The second album of a band's career always seems to be the make or break point. Dirty Pretty Things are getting ready to take on their second album. Guitarist Anthony Rossomando revealed to NME that the band has been working away and have already penned 15 songs.

In fear of the second album syndrome, the boys are leaning towards something different than Waterloo to Anywhere.

"We're not interested in making some archetypal self-indulgent album. Every band feels pressure for their second album because it's supposed to be an elevation from the first one, but we've seen a lot of second albums come out over the past year and most of them aren't really about anything, they're just about trying really hard to write hits."

They will be recording their sophomore disc this summer with the intention of a September release.
