Travis Barker Slowed Down but Hasn't Stopped

Published: 2007-02-21
You'd think a broken arm would stop down a drummer, but if Travis Barker was restricted from drumming he would find another way to create music.

Last September while filming a new video for his band +44's he broke his arm, thus delaying all touring for Barker until things heal.

Travis couldn't sit down and wait for it to heal so he started to work with upcoming rappers such as Paul Wall and Juelz Santana on their production. Barker told MTV, "My broken arm kind of left me to where it's the only thing I can do right now, honestly. It prevents me from doing a bunch of live drums on production, but all I've been doing is producing remixes and stuff. I still experiment with different snare drums and kicks, because I can still play one-handed. When I break something, I've been known to continue on."

In the next bit while Travis' arm heals he will be opening up a few boutiques in California and start practicing some drum exercises to strength his muscles. Travis hopes to rejoin his band member for the Australia and Japan leg of the tour.
