Starfield Nominated for Juno, One of Most Awarded Canadian Bands

Published: 2007-02-20
Winnipeg rockers Starfield may have only released a few albums commercially, but since their self-titled breakout album with Joan of Arcadia using "Tumbling After" on the show, the band headed for Nashville and equally North American success at each award show they visited. The band were just honoured as "Group of the Year" at this year's Shai Awards in Edmonton, Alberta and were announced recently as being nominated at this year's Juno Awards to be held in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan.

"We are continually blessed and humbled by the amazing support base we have in Canada," says Jon Neufeld. "It is a huge honor to be nominated for a Juno award, especially when added to the recognition we've already received this year. Thanks to all the fans, friends, and family up North for believing in us."

Their latest CD, Beauty in the Broken was produced by GMA Award winning Ed Cash (Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Steven Curtis Chapman) and GMA Award nominated Matt Bronleewe (Jars Of Clay, Michael W. Smith). In April, Starfield frontman Tim Neufeld joins Mac Powell (Third Day), Shane & Shane, Brian Littrell (Backstreet Boys), David Nasser (author and speaker) and more for the Glory Revealed Tour. The tour is billed as a unique experience where all the artists are on stage at the same time, taking turns singing and sharing God's Word.
