Kentucky rockers Audio Adrenaline (aka Audio A)were all set to end their farewell tour until MercyMe asked them to join them on their tour in the spring. "When MercyMe asked us to extend our farewell tour into 2007, we weren't sure what we were going to do...We had been planning to end in 2006, and all four of us were busy trying to figure out what we would do after Audio A ended. Tyler and Ben had already found other gigs, but with their blessing, we decided to carry on in the spring of 2007 to be able to see a few more fans one more time," said Audio A's Will McGinniss.
Due to prior commitments, Audio Adrenaline members Ben Cissell (drums) and Tyler Burkum (guitar and vocals) will not be on the road this spring, with the exception of the final concert in Hawaii. However, Ben and Tyler played a key role in selecting the individuals who will be filling their roles. Brian McSweeney, who previously performed on stage with Audio A and was also the guitar player on the band's album, Some Kind of Zombie, will step into the role of guitar and background vocals. Jared Byers, formerly of Bleach, will be the drummer.
Audio A is also offering fans a chance to win VIP pair of tickets in an auction to raise money for their Hands & Feet Project's Children's Village in Haiti. There will be front row seats auctioned off as well as meet 'n' greet passes for each show of the tour. For more details, visit www.mercymeauction.com, select "Audio Adrenaline auctions" and click on your show date for specifics.
