Singer, Brandy Norwood could face charges of misdemeanor vehicular manslaughter from her role in a fatal car accident this past December where 38 year old, married mother of one, Awatef Aboudihaj died in hospital following the pile up.

Norwood, 27, hit the back of another car when traffic slowed down on a California Highway, the crash involved Aboudihaj's car and another. Brandy was alone in her car and no alcohol or drugs were involved said California Highway spokesman Leland Tang. Norwood was fully cooperative with the officers, she and the other witnesses hadn't realized the severity of Aboudihaj's injuries upon impact.

Brandy expressed her condolences to the victim's family through her publicist, Courtney Barnes. Last week, Ms. Barnes said the singer "wishes to publicly express her condolences to the family of the deceased."

The singer has most recently appeared as a judge on "America's Got Talent" and is currently working on her latest studio album scheduled for release in late 2007.
