Wailin' Jennys Get a New Girl

Published: 2007-01-25
Folk music trio the Wailin' Jennys are undergoing a lineup change as Annabelle Chvostek leaves the group to pursue a solo career.

According to the band's official website, "Annabelle joined The Wailin' Jennys two years ago and since then we have played 233 shows together and recorded Firecracker, an album we are all very proud of. She has made a big contribution to the band and she will be missed. This upcoming tour to the UK and Spain will be Annabelle's last with the band. We wish her all the best!"

Chvostek will be replaced by New York based singer Heather Masse who will begin touring with the band when they hit North America in April.

As a result of the switch in members the ladies are forced to rearrange a few North American dates including those in Park City, UT, Napa, CA, San Rafael, CA, Rockland, ME, Manchester, NH, Barrie, VT, and Westport, CT, details are available on their official website.

They are touring behind the band's 2006 album Firecracker that went to number one on Canadian folk radio.
