Crowded House Reunite

Published: 2007-01-24
Aussie pop rock group Crowded House is getting back together after over ten years.

The band hit it big after their single "Don't Dream It's Over" from their self titled 1986 debut became a worldwide hit. The band continued to have success but in the mid nineties drummer Paul Hester left the band to spend more time with his family, which eventually led to the rest of the band disbanding as well.

Even during the years they weren't active Crowded House released a record of their greatest hits in 1996 , a record of rarities and unreleased songs in 1999 and then a live recording of their final performance in 2006.

In 2005 Paul Hester sadly committed suicide which squelched many fans' hopes for a reunion. But it was recently announced that the remaining original members bassist Nick Seymour and frontman Neil Finn will be looking for a new drummer for an upcoming reunion tour including a performance at this year's Coachella Music and Arts Festival in April.
