Leonard Cohen Reissues and Rarities

Canadian poet, singer-songwriter Leonard Cohen is re-releasing his first three albums this spring with a few extra tracks tacked on to each one.

Songs of Leonard Cohen originally released in 1967 was Cohen's debut into the music world and includes the tune "Suzanne" that's been covered by everyone from Neil Diamond to Roberta Flack. The re-issue will feature a couple of uncompleted tunes "Store Room" and "Blessed is the Memory".

His 1968 sophomore disc Songs From a Room will feature an early version of "Bird on a Wire" called "Like a Bird" and an early version of "You Know Who I Am" called "Nothing to One" according to Billboard. His third disc Songs of Love and Hate will include a full-band arrangement of "Dress Rehearsal Drag" also according Billboard.

In 2006 Cohen was inducted into the Canadian songwriter's hall of Fame.
