The Arctic Monkeys' Return

Published: 2007-01-15
The year of 2006 was an insane year for British band the Arctic Monkeys. Propelled into the spotlight through MySpace.com they were ever so quickly titled the "next Beatles". As the momentum finally dies down from their first release, Whatever I Say I Am, I'm Not, the boys get ready for their second release.

With expectations high, the boys are building on their reputation while recording the new album in London. One of the tracks they will be laying down is "D is for Dangerous and Flurescent Adolescent"; their sophomore release will be out this April.

A common misconception is that MySpace propelled them to stardom, it did no such thing.
The band didn't even start with "a myspace" and it was setup by a fan.
Their own website and the spreading of mp3's was what got them going.
