Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyonce Announced As Grammy Performers

Published: 2007-01-12
For the audience, the best part of the Grammy's has arrived. On January 11th the first list of performers was released. As to date the line-up is the following, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Beyonce, Gnarls Barkley and the Dixie Chicks.

This is the second time that the Red Hot Chili Peppers have been nominated for an award. In 1992 they were nominated for "Give It Away"; this time around they have nods in six categories. Their six nominations are in the following categories, Album of the Year, Best Rock Album of the Year, Best Rock Performance by a duo or group, Best Rock Song and Best Short Form Music Video.

As new time group Gnarls Barkley rocked the charts this year they will also rock the Grammy's with nominations in the following categories, Album of the Year, Best Alternative Album, Best Record and Best Alternative Performance. Their acknowledgement is due to their massive summer hit "Crazy".

Nine times Grammy Award winner Beyonce could see herself walking away with another stack of awards to add to her already overflowing collection. This time around Beyonce is up for four awards, Best female R&B Vocal Performance, Best R&B Song, Best Rap Sung Collaboration (with Jay-Z) and Best Contemporary R&B album.

Much like Beyonce the Dixie Chicks are not new to the Grammy's. They can already count eight awards on their shelves. The controversial group was recognized in the following categories, Record of the Year, Song of the Year, Best Country Performance by a duo or group, Album of the Year and Best Country Album.

It's beginning to look like an interesting competition to see who will take home the trophies. Announced presenter included. Pink, Rhianna , Terrence Howard and Samuel L Jackson.

Beyonce doesnt deserve jack for her crappy mess of an album Bday. She already defrauded the Grammys by winning one for "Crazy in Love". She told Rich Harrison to write the song and she'd be back in 2 hours... she only added the hook which any Grade 2 school kid could've wrote. The Grammys should be ashamed!!!!!!
