The Police Reunion?

Published: 2007-01-05
As we reach the 30th anniversary of the release "Roxanne", rumors swirl that The Police will be reuniting.

Nothing has been released yet to make the reunion rumors legitimate but there is a posting on Sting's official website saying, "Discussions have been underway as to how this will be commemorated." Along with the thoughts of a reunion tour there will be a DVD collections released and also another multi-disc album commemorating all their top hits.

The Police broke up in 1986 to give way to Sting and his desires for a solo career. The band has only reunited for two nights since that fateful year. The Police played in 1992 at Sting and Trudie Styler's wedding and they also performed a song when inducted into the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame in 2003.

People seem to be eager for a Police reunion. Fans feel as though they have been waiting forever. As well as the music industry, they have been prepared for a longtime to let The Police perform in arenas worldwide. Drummer Stewart Copeland told Billboard that in terms of a reunion, "I'm very keen on it."
