Celine Dion Gets Ready For her Last Year in Vegas

Published: 2007-01-05
Canadian songstress Celine Dion is getting ready to wrap up her stint in Las Vegas.

The Quebecois cutie started her career singing French songs in her native province before shooting to international stardom. Her first English album Unison gained her a few hits in the rest of Canada, but would pale in comparison to more recent successes.

She began making her name known worldwide after singing the Disney ballad "Beauty and the Beast" and continued her string of hits with songs like "The Power of Love", and "Because You Loved Me". But if Dion will be remembered for anything it will be for "My Heart Will Go On" one of the biggest tunes of the decade for the soundtrack to one of the highest grossing movies ever, Titanic.

After mounting tours for album after album Dion settled herself in Las Vegas' Caesars Palace and let her fans come to her. Her A New Day...Live in Las Vegas show which began in 2003 will wrap up at the end of 2007. With shows throughout the year, tickets to the final block of shows will go on sale March 1.

If you can't make it to Vegas to see her live, her January 17-21 shows will be filmed for DVD according to a press release. No word on when the DVD will be released.
