Hanson Fights AIDS With ëThe Great Divideí

Published: 2006-12-14
After taking a trip to South Africa, the Hanson brothers are using a song from their upcoming album to help fight AIDS.

Using choirs from Mozambique and South Africa, Isaac, Taylor and Zac Hanson recorded the song "The Great Divide." All proceeds from the song, available for download at iTunes, will go to The Perinatal HIV Research Unit in Soweto, South Africa. The unit helps prevent the transmission of HIV/AIDS from mother to child. The brothers were inspired by the doctors and nurses at the research unit and decided to take action.

"We hope you'll listen to the song, watch the video and help save some lives by doing something as simple as downloading the song from iTunes or buying the t shirt," said the band in their Great Divide e-card.

Visit www.flashenhanced.com/hansonecard/hanson.html for more information or to listen to the song. Hanson's upcoming release, The Walk, is due out next year.
