British Princes Harry and William have released a taste of the acts that will be lined up for the Concert for Diana to honour their mother this summer.

Set for what would have been Princess Diana's 46th birthday, the concert will take place on July 1, 2007 in the newly built Wembley Stadium in London.

In a video interview on the website www.concertfordiana.com her sons say that the acts will reflect a combination of bands their mother loved and ones that they enjoy. The first seven acts announced for the show already show a wide variety, including the English National Ballet, a special medley of hits by Andrew Lloyd Webber, Diana's close friend Sir Elton John, new wave UK pop band Duran Duran, jazz singer Joss Stone, rapper Pharrell Williams and singer-songwriter Bryan Ferry.

Tickets for the event will go on sale this morning 9 am (GMT) and will be 45 or a little more than $100 CAD. Proceeds from the affair will go to several charities including Princess Diana's memorial fund patronages, Centrepoint UKa youth homelessness charity of which Prince William is a patron and Sentebale, the charity that Prince Harry is a patron of that helps children in Lesotho particularly those orphaned as a result of AIDS.
