Switchfoot Take ëOh! Gravityí on the Road

Published: 2006-12-12
California rockers Switchfoot are heading on tour behind their most recent release Oh! Gravity.

The record, which is set to go on sale on boxing day along with everything else, is the follow-up to the band's 2005 record Nothing is Sound. Though the record was the band's fifth release, it was only their sophomore record on a major label. The Beautiful Letdown, their major label debut, went platinum in the US and spawned singles like "Meant to Live" and "Dare You to Move."

Oh! Gravity has already spawned a couple of songs, "Dirty Second Hands," which was released to iTunes this fall, and the lead single "Oh! Gravity."

The band is set to play the Guvernment in Toronto on February 28 with Florida indie rockers Copeland. Tickets go on sale on Ticketmaster and at Rotate This and Sonic Temple this Friday, December 15 at 10 am for $26.50.

Switchfoot's new album is SO GOOD! I was never a huge fan, but their new stuff is great, and the fact that they're playing with Copeland makes this a show that I simply can't miss. good stuff...
