Howe Gelb Takes a Tour in the ëSnoí

Published: 2006-12-06
American singer-songwriter Howe Gelb is appropriately taking his new record 'Sno Angel Like You on the road where it was inspired here in Canada.

Earlier this year the Giant Sand frontman released the record 'Sno Angel Like You that was inspired by a trip the Arizona native took to Ottawa for the Bluesfest. Playing in a church in the chilly city inspired the 'Sno Angel project. The brave desert native returned to the capital city to record the album to really get the feel for Ottawa winters.

According to the 'Sno Angel official website, "'Sno Angel is a project Howe set up when he records and tours with a full gospel choir, Like You is the name of his record here with Sno' Angel, but 'Sno Angel Like You also really means there is no angel like you."

This holiday season, Howe is bringing the album home to Ottawa and some nearby Canadian cities.
