Tragically Hip, Sam Roberts Play Holiday Jam for SickKids

Some of Canada's finest musicians are getting together in Toronto during the holiday season for a concert that benefits SickKids.

The Holiday Jam on December 13 at the Phoenix Concert Theatre in Toronto will donate all proceeds from the concert to The Hospital for Sick Children's SickKids Foundation. According to their website the foundation "is the largest non-governmental granting agency in child health in Canada. Established in 1972, SickKids Foundation has granted over $500 million to The Hospital for Sick Children and over $60 million to researchers across the country."

As if that wasn't enough reason to attend the show, it boasts a lineup of some of the country's best musicians.

Making an appearance are acts like hip hopper and turntablist Buck 65, Southern rocker Matt Mays, who's in the midst of his tour behind his new record When The Angels Make Contact. Also in the lineup are singer-songwriters Kathleen Edwards and Sarah Harmer, along with rockers The Sam Roberts Band and The Tragically Hip.

The third annual Jam will feature acoustic sets by all of the artists. Tickets to the show are $40 and are available at Ticketmaster.
