Modest Mouse just completed their thirteen day stint in the states at New York City's Bowery Ballroom on November 18. The band premiered new songs from their forthcoming disc entitled, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank.

The band performed four new songs including the band's possible first single, "Dashboard", which has been described as a Talking Heads funk-inspired rock song. Other songs that were debuted that night were "Fire It Up", "We've Got Everything", and "Tiny Cities Made of Ashes".

Modest Mouse will be performing in Australia by December 30 as part of the Falls Festival. As far as the new album is concerned, expect an early release in the first sales quarter of 2007.
