DJ Jazzy Jeff and 'The Return of the Magnificent'

DJ Jazzy Jeff's upcoming release, The Return of the Magnificent boasts some impressive collaborations.

The former half of DJ Jazzy Jeff & the Fresh Prince is joined by Method Man, Big Daddy Kane, De La Soul, Kardinal Offishall, Rhymefest and KRS-One and more on the album that he also produced.

"As a DJ, I like playing all kinds of different music so it's the same thing when it comes down to making it," Jeff told Billboard. "A lot of producers don't really have the ability to go outside of what they're known for [but] I've done a little bit of everything. So to be able to do a record that touches on R&B, soul, some hip-hop, house, and not really be confined was a treat for me because it's not really an artist album. It's more like a producer album."

The DJ is also remembered for his six-year run on the hit TV series The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, alongside Will Smith.

The Return is the follow-up to Jeff's 2002 release The Magnificent and should appear early next year.
