Queen's 'Hits' Named Best-Selling UK Album of All Time

Published: 2006-11-17
Queen's Greatest Hits has been declared Britain's best-selling album by the Official U.K. Charts Company.

Even the Beatle's Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band came in behind Queen's album at second place.

The album was released in 1981 and has sold over 5.4 million copies. The legendary rock band's second "best of" placed seventh on the list.

With the late Freddie Mercury at the helm, Queen became one of Britain's greatest rock groups, putting out classics like "Bohemian Rhapsody," "We Will Rock You" and "We Are the Champions."

Oasis, Dire Straits, Abba, Pink Floyd, Michael Jackson and Madonna also made the top 10.
